On March 21, 2025, our team attended a prestigious event at the Orange Hill Restaurant in Orange, CA, where industry leaders gathered to celebrate top contractors in our field. John and Devynn Thompson, our founders, proudly accepted the Contractor of the Year award, accompanied by key team members, including Service Manager Tom Sawyer and Office Manager Alex Alfaro.

  • “Took care of it in no time”

    Plumbing technician Dean Taylor came over last week to set up a line so I could get a dishwasher installed. I didn’t have the proper setup but he took care of it in no time! Now the installers will have no problem doing it. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely have him come back for other plumbing jobs. From start to finish everyone I spoke to was very helpful! Their customer service is outstanding!

    I called them about a leak I had under my house. They quickly made an appointment to come & fix it. The plumber who showed up(his name was Austin)was VERy nice & professional. He had the issue fixed in no time & my dogs LOVED him! Even my White German Shepherd LOVED him(which isn’t an easy thing to do since my White German Shepherd is very wary of strangers in his house)!     Found them online with a 4.9 star rating, took a chance on a call out for a toilet that had tree roots growing in it.

    Let me set the stage...
    45 year old home, that was pretty neglected when I got it. I've been doing nothing but making repairs on it since moving in. Knew the plumbing had problems and have just been trying to bandaid them until I could afford a major overhaul of the septic system.
    So the day after I get hit by an unlicensed teen driver who totals my truck, l am in a position where I must also deal with huge plumbing issues.
    I just want to find someone good who can get out here quick and at least help me minimize one life crisis.

    Called, got a live human; Lindsey, really sweet and understanding of my stress level. Got an appointment the next day for a $65 call out, which is very reasonable.

    The next morning I get a text with a picture of the person who's enroute to my house and the gentleman does their Standard Multi-point Inspection on my home. What?! Awesome!
    It includes my water heater, my water pressure in the house, an evaluation of the problem area and the overall well-being of the pipes in all my plumbing areas. Hello?! Talk about good old fashioned customer service!!!!
    How have I never found these people before?

    Now, for the bad news, not only were the roots invading my toilet, but we discovered that my septic tank had completely collapsed. Ok, the hits just keep on coming.... help....

    No worries! A supervisor comes out, we discuss the options.

    Sooo, now I'm really stressed out because I have to jump into all of the loss and expense from the unlicensed driver, I'm out a vehicle and I'm facing a $30k mandatory repair. Yikes! Really God?! I'm not as strong as you think I am...

    The tech; Noah, and supervisor; Dustin, patiently work with me to obtain financing, which takes a little time because the financing company keeps confusing things on their end. So the poor guys from Thompson Family Plumbing were here for a bit, but it all works out in the end.

    Thank you God for that small blessing!! So now we're off and running on the Septic.

    Every day that work is being done I get a text with a picture of each of the guys; Juan and Devon, who are coming out & when they're on their way. They let me know when they're here. If there's any delays, hiccups, questions, or concerns, I'm immediately contacted; either by the office or my guys in the yard. We've run into a few hiccups, because every job has them, but their professionalism, efficiency and skill, leaves me feeling confident that I have nothing to worry about.

    No one wants trouble with their plumbing and definitely not with their septic but if you've got it, there is only 1 place you want to go for your service.... and it's Thompson Family Plumbing.

    I believe God puts good people on the planet, and sometimes you have to work really hard to find em, but a little prayer, a little trust and a little research, gets you there.

    These guys were my answered.Prayer, who knows, maybe they'll be yours too.

    The pics show the new tank and leach line. The guys working. My original issue with the roots in the toilet pipe and what's left of the original metal septic tank. Yuck!

    So far, Noah, Dustin, Juan and Devon have made my ugly Septic replacement a truly pleasant experience.

    And the ladies at the office, Lindsey, Alex & Caitlin, are keeping me informed and updated.

    Excellent work on the sewer lines but not cheap. They did the work relatively quickly, as it was a rather urgent situation. I am glad they can do work on the Needles, CA side of the river, not everyone does. Overall good job.

    Contacted the company late on a Friday evening regarding an unknown plumbing issue in a 60+ year old home in Oldtown Kingman. Monday morning, I had Eden, a Master Plumber and Travis on site to diagnose the problem. I soon had a probable cause, plan of action and price quote to address my problem. All the paperwork was completed digitally on site and provided seamlessly.
    Tuesday arrived with Branden to gain access and prep the cast iron pipe for provision of a spray on polymer substance on the inside of the pipe, thus avoiding a very costly and time consuming process of digging up and exposing the offending pipe.
    Wednesday, Travis and Brandon returned to apply the interior coating as well as remove and replace a vertical cast iron stack.
    I was profoundly impressed with Travis and Brandon's professionalism, communication and overall work ethic. They provided information detailing the specifics of the process and potential pitfalls.
    This is the second older Kingman home we have taken on as a 'retirement project' and I cannot stress how refreshing it was to work with this company in general and these gentleman in specific.
    I highly recommend Thompson Family Plumbing for any plumbing or drainage issues, it is refreshing to encounter companies and people that obviously take great pride in their craft and service.

    Hard to find honesty in this world, thought I had a pipe leak one plumber came he said he didn’t see anything, so he called another guy to run a camera to make sure, both assured me that there was no leak just the rain wasn’t drying up where I thought the leak was as fast as the rest of the yard, they came the same day and the price to run the camera was beyond reasonable as my husband had his own plumbing company prior to his accident and he said it was a really good price, and prior to my husband owning his own company he worked for a few different plumbing companies and he said their dishonesty is why he opened his own company, he said many of those companies would tell the plumbers to create a problem while on the site since the customer already thought there was a problem, like I said honesty is hard to find and these guys are honest and will definitely continue to get my business, they deserve our businesses and yours

    After contacting Thompson Plumbing concerning the water puddle that was in my front yard they sent out a technician very quickly. Harry was very friendly and explained everything he needed to do concerning the leak. He proceeded to look around the property to see if there were any other water issues and luckily he didn't find any. Harry called his supervisor to assist in further explanation of preventative measures that could be done. Devin came and after an amount of time he gave me 3 different plans in which I could choose from. He thoroughly explained each one. I decided to go with getting the regulator for the water pressure from the main line into the house. Each individual was very courteous.     My wife discovered a water leak last Thurs morning coming from our garage ceiling on her way to work.
    She informed me and I turned off our water source. I called Thompson Family Plumming and I spoke to a pleasant female named Val. As I explained our situation she stated she would make this a priority call and the first tech available will see this and come to my home and diagnose my plumming problem today. That indeed did happen. Shaun arrived around noon time and diagnosed the problem. He explained what had happened, took pictures of the leak and explained opportunities and quoted a very reasonable price for repairs. I agreed and he set to work, repaired the leak, and tested our water for hardness and water pressure for Free and filed the results. All this was done by the time my wife came home from work to our home having running water. Such a pleasure to Experience a business who runs a smooth operation using such skilled employee's who knew how and did their jobs very well having customer care service at their forefront making me feel like their family member who cares. I have lived here for 52 yrs and such a Wonderful experience to see here.

    We had a water main leak around Thanksgiving. The TFP&D office was very responsive, helpful and got someone out to us in a reasonable amount of time. Our tech was Dean and he was terrific! He replaced our setup with some heavy duty piping and reinforcement. He worked hard and stayed at it even when it got dark (and it was cold). He followed up the next day and even after that when we had questions. I definitely recommend their service.

I knew who was coming before he arrived which is helpful. His work was thorough and explained completely. The price was very reasonable.     Riley Nason with Thompson Family Plumbing was top notch. As a new homeowner, this was my first plumbing issue I’ve ever encountered. I Google searched for local plumbers, Thompson was one of the first to come up that served Colton, CA, after reading through a few reviews I called them up and booked my appointment for the following day. Riley came out, diagnosed my problem, and went to work. He was extremely kind, thorough, professional, and sincere. He efficiently cleared my upstairs toilet that overflowed and leaked into the downstairs bathroom, as well as replaced the old toilet all together and did a fine job. He also offered recommendations for other work we can do to fix my leaking shower. Reasonably priced for the amount of work I had him do within a few hours. I’ll definitely work with Thompson Family Plumbing again.

    First of all I talked with a pleasant knowageable person called Tracy which set up the appointment and follow up with tracking so I could see exactly when and who was going to have the pleasure to meet along with a photo.     I was very pleased with the repairman, Vincent, and the apprentice working with him, Blake. Why?
    * Always on time to start (allowing for traffic issues).
    * Very realistic break for lunch and supplies.
    * Finished when he said they would both days.
    * Helpful. Always willing to answer my questions, explain my options, and describe the situations they found.
    * The description of the situation he gave coincided with previous Plumber’s assessments.
    * Since I’m not knowledgeable about Plumbing, I can’t realistically evaluate the work they did. But the Before and After pictures say a lot.

    Based on the work they did, I will definitely recommend them and will use this company for any future plumbing jobs.

    Jacob was very professional, very helpful, and very knowledgeable. We originally used them to come out and repair our tankless water heater. Ended up getting a brand new one, due to his knowledge and expertise. Also had a water treatment system installed at that time. We then had them come out a second time to repair a toilet.     Had a water main break in my front yard. Couldn't get anyone to come out for days. Called Thompson and they came out the same day and fixed our main. Jacob, the technician was incredible! Friendly, professions and worked incredibly hard to get our water turned on the same day.

    We used Thompson's 2 months ago to repair a frozen pipe and hose bib. They sent Dean and he did an excellent job...this past week at 10pm, our pipe backed up and flooded our bathroom. I emailed Thompson's immediately, explained the problem, they called first thing the next morning and sent Jacob Martinez out to find the problem. It turned out to be somewhat complex. We had roots, rocks and a sagging clogged pipe that needed to be replaced. Jacob is the hardest worker we have ever seen! This was a very difficult job! He had to hand dig, remove and replace several feet of pipe under the house in very limited crawl space! We will never use another company or plumber.
